Freshford Village Memorial Hall, Somerset

The second of our Somerset Pop-Ups!

On Saturday 18th April you'll find me at The Freshford Village Memorial Hall. The hall sits in the heart of the beautiful village of Freshford, at the southern-most tip of the Cotswolds. Close to Bath and Bradford on Avon, easily accessible by train and surrounded by beautiful woods and fields, Freshford is a dog walkers paradise! Take a stroll along the River Frome, or the Kennet and Avon Canal and pop in to The Freshford Inn for a drink. The Hall is situated next to the superb Galleries Community Shop and Cafe, which is very dog friendly with indoor and outdoor tables and offers a fantastic brunch and lunch menu. I'll be shooting from 10am until 5pm, so come and say woof!

Each half an hour, £45 individual bookable session will have the option of two background colours. They'll be a few cute bandanas to hand, but feel free to bring your own favourite collars, jumpers, or simply opt for the au naturel look! The cost includes 2 high resolution digital images of your choice (with the option to choose more, but no obligation to do so!)

Booking Essential... walk-ins will only be offered if time allows.

FAQ

Do I need to book?

Spaces are limited, and there is no guarantee that walk-ins can be accommodated, so it's better to book to avoid disappointing your dog! Call or mail me if you are unsure of using online booking!

Refund Policy. Refunds up to 7 days before event

What's included in the cost?

The package includes two professionally edited high resolution classic headshot images, which you can choose from a gallery sent to you following your shoot.

I will have 2 background colours with me and we can shoot against both

My dog is very nervous - can I still attend?

The shoot will take place in a private room within the hall. Every allocated slot is just for your dog/dogs.

If you know your dog to be especially shy, nervous or reactive then maybe it's best they sit this one out.
These sessions are a little quicker than my regular studio sets, but we still have time to let the dogs get used to new sights, sounds, smells and equipment. The sessions use flash studio lights which the majority of dogs are more than fine with.

It obviously does help if they have a basic sit and stay (even if thy stay is very short!)

Your dog can stay on the lead if you prefer and we can use the magic of photoshop to edit this out!
Take a look at https://www.youandthedog.com/blog/what-if-my-dog-is-camera-shy/

Most dogs really enjoy the ‘sit, stay, treat’ aspect of the shoot and see it as a game. If your dog shows signs of distress or is visibly uncomfortable with the situation we will stop the shoot.

Can I be in the shot with my dog?

This is a chance for your dog to shine, so I ask you not to and steal their limelight and ask to be in the shot!

Can I purchase more images and order prints?

Absolutely! If you'd like to choose more images, you are more than welcome (but under no obligation) to purchase more high resolution files at a discounted price of £20 per image. I am more than happy to advise and help with printing options and artwork.

Can I bring more than one dog?

Each bookable session is for one dog. If you'd like to bring another dog, please book two back to back sessions so we can photograph each individually and also together (as long as they like each other and want to be in the same picture!). You will receive an additional high resolution image of the two of them (in addition to the two images you get per individual session)

Please feel free to message me with any questions on this (or if you have more than 2 dogs!)

Timings - what do I need to know?

Please be on time for your session! I will try my best to accommodate you if you are running a little late, but it will impact on the next doggie, so please be aware of this, as it will potentially shorten your slot.

Equally, I hope not to keep you waiting, but dogs will be dogs and sometimes things run a little behind. Rest assured you won't be frustrated if you have to pop next door for a cuppa.

Each session lasts 30 minutes, but if we get all the shots we need in 20 minutes, that's perfect. Your dog is a star and can be rewarded with a good walk, some treats, or accompany you while you have a well deserved drink.

Do you have any other questions or would like to chat?

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding the session, or want to chat before committing. I'm always happy to help as much as possible with anything you need to know or are unsure of!
